Sandy Harbor Family Fun Center
Sandy Harbor’s new water park style amenities opened on May 27th, 2016 to rave reviews! Guests can enjoy nearly 3 acres of water features. Float in the Adventure [lazy] River, race family and friends on the Drop Zone Mat Racer, slide thru The Tube, the kids love Splash Zone and there’s the Tad Pool (for our littlest guests). Now Sandy Harbor is even better with more than 368,041 gallons of water, and we more than doubled the water surface to 28,110 sq. ft. for our guests to relax and cool off. Our activity center named “Sandy Harbor Family Fun Center” is located next to the Recreation Building. Sandy Harbor features an 18 hole miniature golf course that features a ‘fisherman’s wharf’ theme. The indoor pool is open all year long and features swimming and also water aerobics (check the activities calendar). The Olympic-sized outdoor pool and the two kiddie pools and enlarged the existing pool deck. Sandy Harbor features new restrooms and changing areas for sunbathers. Enjoy a combo meal or snack from food “Sandy Harbor Cafe” featuring indoor and outdoor seating areas. Our arcade is located inside the Sandy Harbor building as “Sandy Harbor Games.” Children will be thrilled with Sandy Harbor Splash Zone! This large pool features large water guns, boats to climb in and more! Finally, golf car parking is located adjacent to the pool area.

Our 18-hole Miniature Golf Course is located in our new Sandy Harbor complex near the Recreation Building and our pools.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground has several beautiful pools, a large sun deck, kiddie pools and an interactive wading pool. Our seasonal water park includes a mat racer, tube slide, lazy river and two new pools for kids! Please review the Sandy Harbor Pool Rules and hours with your family.
Splash Zone
Sandy Harbor’s new Splash Zone features dozens of interactive features for kids! Of course the BIGGEST one is a giant 350 gallon bucket of water to “cool off” anyone standing nearby. During your stay you may find you have forgotten something, run out of something, or just plain want something. More than likely you’ll find it at the 12,000 square foot Sandy Mart, along with groceries, snacks, ice, gifts and souvenirs. If shopping makes you hungry, Sandy’s Meet n’ Eat shares the same parking lot! You can throw piles of laundry into one of our machines (we have 100) at Sandy’s Soapy Suds, or let us do it for you at Sandys’ Fluff n’ Fold. Located in the heart of the campground it is a major hub of activity. Guests can enjoy dining, shopping, entertainment, majestic Live Oak trees, free wi-fi and a great laundry facility.
The Camptown Center is part of our ongoing master planned improvements and opened in March 2005. Commemorative brick pavers are available for families who dream of always being part of Ocean Lakes. The brick pavers are a great gift for the beach lover in your family, or in honor of a loved one. Proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association and the March of Dimes. Learn more here.

Soapy Suds
Sandy’s Soap Suds features 100 machines in heated and air-conditioned comfort. Large items, like blankets and sleeping bags can be washed in our oversize washers.
Fluff N’ Fold
Laundry is a pleasure when YOU don’t have to do it. Let us do it! Sandy’s Fluff n’ Fold features a drop-off laundry service. Just bring your dirty laundry and we will wash, dry and fold it for you.
Meet n’ Eat
Sandy’s Meet n’ Eat ‘s menu ranges from breakfast to dinner and of course, our world famous ice cream!
Center Stage
Guests can relax there while enjoying various performers including storytellers, musicians and magicians at the deck’s raised gazebo.
Free Wireless Zone
For those who need to stay wired, guests can enjoy the internet free of charge on their laptops at the Wireless Zone. This free service is available for up to 8 users at a time.

Nature Center Discovery Lab
A one of a kind facility in this area, the Ocean Lakes Leonard Raker Nature Center Discovery Lab focuses on marine life. It all began with Leonard Raker, Founder and Curator (now retired), he traveled extensively during our off-season gathering items for exhibit. Our Certified SC Master Naturalist, Brandy, has a degree in Marine Biology and loves to help guests learn about the ocean. The Nature Center offers exhibits and information on shells, fossils, sea life, Ocean Lakes history, area wildlife and ecology of coastal South Carolina. Our knowledgeable team is on hand to identify items discovered on our nearly one mile of the Atlantic Ocean beach and answer any questions you may have.
Church Service
Please join us for our non-denominational worship service every Sunday at 9 AM. Come as you are! Everyone is welcome. Reverend Kirk Lawton, along with his wife, Jane, direct and inspirational Christian service. The service generally lasts about one hour. Church Service is held inside the Recreation Center located on Periwinkle Drive.
Bible Study
A non-denominational Bible Study is held every Sunday at 10:15 AM, after the Worship Service. Dig deeper into the Lord’s Word and fellowship with others as Rev. Lawton leads the group and encourages all in their walk with Christ. We hope to see you there!
